Just another tech success story…

OK. Not quite yet.

But let’s just say I’m getting there. Let’s just say things have been looking up for me as of lately.

As some of you may know, I began my journey into tech by enrolling into a software development bootcamp. I ended up dropping it due to what I had going on personally. I then enrolled into Google’s UX Design Certificate program, which is still under wraps. Then, after some extensive research, I’ve noticed breaking into tech via Tech Sales might just be the best option for me.

Long story short, I’ve set a goal to break six figures by the age of 30. I’m 27, turning 28 at the end of the year, and I’m definitely not getting any younger.

I have three children and I just cannot stand to live life on the edge of poverty anymore. It’s not for me.

I see everyone around me becoming stagnant in their career choices. I can’t depend on my mother, my father, or my grandparents to make the money I would like to see in this lifetime…So it’s up to me. And at the end of the day, isn’t that why we’re all trying to make it in tech anyway? To break generational curses? To accumulate generational wealth?

I know that’s my reasoning.

Anyway, one of my mutual connections on LinkedIn posted a job offering as a Blockchain Writer. I applied and was invited to an onboarding meeting! I have 3 meetings on the same day: 2 for 2 different Sales Tech bootcamps with job placements, and one for the Blockchain Writer position.

I have no idea what I’m doing at this point, but I’m passionate to learn and I’m excited to eventually dabble in all areas of tech.

Here’s to the future! *clink*
